Are you walking in the Light? Answer honestly! If not, why not? 1 John 1:7

1 John 1:7   King James Version (KJV) 7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Questions on 1:John 1:7 Who is "we"? What is he consequence of us walking in the light? Who is the fellowship with? When we walk with the spotlight of God's light on us, what is revealed? Is there a remedy for sin in our walk? How would you feel if it was impossible to be cleansed from all sin? What cleaneth us from all sin? Remember John 1:29   King James Version (KJV) 29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Praise the Lord

Crisis Time: Are You a Confident Atheist?

Image
Zoc and Didi discuss Atheism Zoc and his friend Didi have just bought some coffee from the famous Warming Hut at Crissy Field in San Francisco and are walking on the edge of the Bay towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Crissy Field is where the two love to chat and solve the problems of the world! It's a great morning. Cyclists are out. So are plenty of folk with their dogs. There is a bit of a haze obscuring Alcatraz out in the Bay to their right. The left hand side of the Bridge looms high in front of them. The Bridge is so huge that cars crossing it look like ants crawling in slow motion. Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco Zoc : So Didi what have you been up to? Didi : Not much. But, I have been doing quite a bit of reading. Zoc : And? Didi : And ....... I have become an atheist. Zoc : What! (Zoc stops, waits for a cyclist to pass, and puts his empty coffee cup in a trash bin.) Why have you decided to become an atheist? An...

What fate awaits professing Christians? 1 John 1:6

1 John 1:1-6   King James Version (KJV) 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light , and in him is no darkness at all. 6  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: Questions  V 6 If we say what and do what what are we doing? Who is we? Who is the fellowsh...

What very important message should we pass on to others? 1 John 1:5

1 John 1:5   King James Version (KJV) 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard , which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled , of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Questions on Verse 5 What is the message? Who are "we" in verse 5? A message is being passed on.  Who originally gave the Apostles the message  to pass on? Do we have a duty as messengers? ...

Compassion vs. the Corona Virus. Who will win?

Image
Matthew 7:20   King James Version (KJV) 20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Compassion leads the way in the fight  to defeat the  corona virus The fruit of love and compassion A florist in the town of Tulbagh in the Western Cape of South Africa had weddings cancelled so she sent these flowers to decorate the entrance to a Retirement Home in the nearby town of Paarl.  Streets in Tulbagh were also decorated with flowers. The Entrance to the Retirement Home Romans 8:38-39   King James Version (KJV) 38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, NOR THE CORONA VIRUS, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Everlasting joy now. Where to find it, 1 John 1:4

1 John 1:4   King James Version (KJV) 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. Who is "we"? Who does "you" refer to? Why was this written? What is the extent of joy we can expect? Do you think the world can produce such joy? If not, why not? This joy can only come with a proper and trusting relationship with who? As a poet has said, "The source of all his singing is high in heaven above". PRAISE THE LORD ...

Three Secrets to Happiness - 2500 years old. Do you know them? They are as true today as then.

The three secrets to happiness now during the time of the Corona virus and beyond  into eternity are found in the 23rd Psalm. The 23rd Psalm was written over 2500 years ago. Its message was true then, is true today and will be true forever. HERE ARE THE SECRETS - IN RED Psalm 23   King James Version (KJV) The Secret of a happy life - every need supplied 23  The  Lord  is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. The Secret of a happy death - every fear removed 4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. The Secret of a happy et...

1 John 1:3 What fellowship does God offer?

1 John 1-3   King James Version (KJV) 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. Questions on 1 John 1:3 Who is declaring to who? What is being declared? Why are they confident about making the declaration? What is the purpose of the declaration? Who makes up the fellowship? Should we also be declaring? PRAISE THE LORD

The Word of life made manifest 1 John 1:2

1 John 1:1-2   King James Version (KJV) 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) Questions on 1 John 1:2 Note:  (Cambridge Dictionary online defines manifest as "to show something  clearly , through  signs  or  actions ") Who was with the Father? Who was manifested unto us? What was manifested unto us? Is our belief based on the clever speculations of smart philosophers or it based on the testimony of people who heard, saw and touched Jesus?  Why believe these witnesses? Some died for their faith. Do you think a person would die for something they knew was not true?  Next: 1 John 1:3 Praise the Lord

Bible Study by Q&A: 1 John 1:1

1 John 1   King James Version 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; From when has Christ existed? Is it right to use the word "exist"? If not, what word do you suggest? Was the incarnation real? Did it happen? Who heard, saw and touched? Only John? What do the words "we" and "our" imply? Why is John convinced that the incarnation is true? In what three ways did the apostles experience Christ? How strong do you think the evidence was? What did the apostles hear, see and touch? Praise the Lord Next: 1 John 1:2

Corona Lock-down - Hear the word of the Lord

Corona lock-down - Isaiah 26:20-21 and 26:3-4 Is this a message to the whole world? Of course we must take care and be responsible when interpreting prophecy in the Bible. However consider the following: Much of the world is in lock-down. In South Africa lock-down will start on 26 March 20 20 . Note 26 and 20 Read the following Scriptures from the word of God: Note 26 and 20 Isaiah 26:20-21   New International Version (NIV) 20  Go, my people, enter your rooms      and shut the doors  behind you; hide  yourselves for a little while      until his wrath  has passed by. 21  See, the  Lord  is coming  out of his dwelling      to punish  the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood  shed on it;      the earth will conceal its slain no longer BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER FORGET Isaiah 26:3-4   New Internati...
