Where does salvation come from?

Jonah 2:9 King James Version (KJV)

9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.

 Salvation from what? Eternal separation from God?
Salvation is from the Lord and the Lord alone.
No man or woman can save themselves.
When Jonah says "Salvation is of the Lord" this is a prayer of thanks giving.
Jonah trusted the Lord for his salvation. Are we? Are you?
