Where is hope in these difficult times?

Our Hope Rests in Christ and Christ Alone
Our hope in these challenging times does not come from Scripture  alone.

Our hope comes Jesus, to whom the Scriptures point.

Our salvation comes from Christ.

Scripture

John 5:39

39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.

Praise the Lord

Words of great comfort during the pandemic.

Words of great comfort for the afflicted Isaiah 54:11-12  King James Version (KJV) 11  O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12  And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.   How precious are these verses! They just tell out the deep pity and tender compassion of the Lord towards a sorrowing soul that refuses to be comforted.   It is as if He said:  "Oh, thou afflicted one, do you not know, what I am doing?  Can you not trust Me?  These sorrows shall not hurt you.  I want to make you very lovely, to ornament and   beautify you, to inlay you with precious stones, and to make you a special delight and glory to Myself to all eternity.'' Is not this enough, dear suffering one ?   Will you not trust His wise and loving, tender...

Gaining genuine knowledge during the pandemic

Do you want genuine knowledge  during the pandemic? Proverbs 1:7 teaches us where to start We can only begin to learn and acquire genuine knowledge when we  "fear"  the Lord.  The Amplified Bible explains "fear" as having a "reverent" fear of God and worshiping Him. It also implies that we  must trust God and obey Him . So our knowledge begins with us worshiping God This is also only reasonable. It is also common sense that creatures should trust their Creator. The opposite is sadly true. Only a fool would reject his or her Creator and live life without relying on guidance from God. The only wise thing to do is to: Repent of sin; Trust Jesus as Lord and Savior; and  Live for Christ "wholeheartedly and devotedly" Therefore let us not be foolish. The hallmarks of fools are: They will have nothing to do with God They are unwilling to learn as they know everything already. They are not...
