Winston Churchill and Covid19

Giving thanks during the Covid19 pandemic

The Bible urges us to give thanks in every thing.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 King James Version (KJV)

"18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

What can we give thanks for during the Covid19 pandemic?

Plenty of things.Time to reflect on what is really important etc, etc ....

However, one of the most important things to give thanks for is the heroic way Health Workers all over the world are fighting the Covid19 pandemic and caring compassionately for its victims.

What would Sir Winston Churchill have said about the
Health Workers world wide if he were alive today?

Perhaps the following?

"The gratitude of every home in the world goes out to all health workers world wide, who undaunted by the odds, unweakened by their constant challenge and mortal danger, are fighting to turn the tide of the Covid19 pandemic, by their prowess and devotion and by their compassionate care for all its victims"

Praise the Lord for the continued inspiration of Churchill

(Based on Churchill's speech in the House of Commons on 20 August 1940. Churchill was  praising the heroic role being played by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in August 1940, during the Second World War.
